Production Team Lead

Our client, a leading producer of materials, ingredients and additives for clients in the Pharma, Med Devices, Food Production, and Industrial sectors, is seeking a motivated Production Team Lead to join their manufacturing team.

The Production Team Lead supports the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of manufacturing processes. This hands-on leadership role involves coordinating daily production activities, guiding a team to meet performance targets, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards in a GMP manufacturing environment.

It is a full time permanent role, Monday to Friday, based on their site in County Laois. It is working day and evening shift, rotating weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day production operations including dispensing, blending, equipment setup, filling, and packaging
  • Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and support warehouse functions as needed
  • Perform plant inspections, respond to alarms, and conduct basic fault-finding and maintenance
  • Monitor and drive team performance to meet team goals
  • Champion safety and quality standards within the team
  • Support investigations (e.g., deviations, CAPAs, change controls) and maintain GMP documentation
  • Liaise with cross-functional departments including Quality and Supply Chain
  • Assist with training, continuous improvement initiatives, and project support including NPI
  • Deputize for the Production Supervisor when required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a GMP manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in documentation, process improvement, and root cause analysis tools
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative, can-do attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SOPs and Batch Manufacturing Records
  • Relevant qualification or diploma preferred
