Part Qualified Accountant required with 3 years plus experience for a Galway based company. Accounting Technician qualification is an advantage. Hybrid ( 3 days in office).
Reporting to Financial Controller
Responsibilities:
- Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues, costs, liabilities & assets)
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets, income statements and cash flows)
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage tax payments
- Oversee Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Preparation of audit files & support liaising with auditors
- Organize internal audits
- Support the preparation of budgets (for the entire company and by department)
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
- Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
- Analysis of financial trends
- Prepare timely VAT/Intrastat returns through ROS
- General administration & office filing and all other job-related tasks as required
- Additional duties as assigned by Manager/CFO
Requirements:
- Minimum 2/3 years experience in over all accounts and IATI qualification an advantage
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- Excellent administration and data entry skills with full knowledge of MS Office Suite and Revenue online procedures
- Proficiency in Netsuite an advantage but not essential
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
- Ability to work as part of a high performing team as well as on your own initiative
