Job Description: Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled, proactive Maintenance/Facility Technician to ensure the smooth, reliable operation of machinery, equipment, and facility systems in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and implementing repairs that minimize downtime and support efficient production operations. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement, and contributing to a safe and high-performing workplace.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and rebuild tasks on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond promptly to equipment failures to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
- Identify and replace worn or faulty parts as part of routine maintenance.
- Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance records using an asset management system.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Manage and organize tools, spare parts, and maintenance inventory.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams to maintain high operational standards.
- Work on-site across shift cycles to provide maintenance coverage as required.
- Participate in training and skill development to stay current with new systems and technologies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a maintenance or facilities role within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with asset management systems (e.g., Maximo) is an advantage, but training will be provided.
- Flexibility to work in a multi-shift system as required.
