My client, a leading global manufacturer of heavy-duty materials processing and recycling equipment, is seeking an experienced and results-driven International Sales Manager to lead sales growth across the UK and Europe.
This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded and technically capable professional to drive strategic and operational sales activities for a globally recognised brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading dealer management, market development, and sales operations while collaborating closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development, and Customer Support teams to achieve ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic and operational sales activities across the UK and Europe.
- Take full responsibility for sales revenue, gross margin, operating profit, and inventory management, reporting regularly to senior management.
- Own the sales forecast as part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, working closely with operations and manufacturing teams to align production schedules.
- Develop and implement a global sales strategy to expand market share and drive business growth.
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new dealers in uncovered territories and emerging market segments.
- Ensure all dealer accounts are formally contracted and compliant with company standards.
- Develop, agree, and monitor annual business plans and performance targets for each dealer account.
- Implement a performance management framework to evaluate and support dealer success.
- Attend and coordinate trade exhibitions, seminars, product demonstrations, and other key sales activities.
- Provide product and technical sales training to dealer staff and end users.
- Conduct ongoing market research to monitor competitors, identify new opportunities, and influence future product development.
- Present directly to end-user customers and key corporate accounts.
- Communicate new product launches, technology advancements, and pricing updates to the dealer network.
Requirements:
- Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales, ideally within capital equipment, heavy machinery, or related sectors.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong dealer and customer relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently under pressure.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively worldwide.
- Full clean driving licence and valid passport.
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
