We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Generalist to join an organisation based in Fermoy, Cork on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide support to the HR function and wider business, gaining exposure to key functions with the HR department. This is an excellent opportunity with career progression to HR Manager level down the line as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support recruitment end-to-end including job postings, CV screening, interview coordination, and reference checks.
- Maintain employee records and upload HR documentation while ensuring GDPR compliance.
- Manage onboarding and off-boarding processes, including contracts, system setup, equipment returns, and exit interviews.
- Deliver new employee inducts and coordinate training, including booking relevant courses.
- Liaise with government departments and agencies to obtain work permits and assist international hires relocating to Ireland.
- Manage employee absences, approve leave requests, and coordinate reporting with payroll.
- Attend disciplinary or incident meetings as a note-taker and ensure accurate documentation and follow-up.
- Support HR initiatives, including training coordination, company culture programs, social events, recruitment fairs, and accreditations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar, fast-paced HR role.
- Ability to prioritise own workload, work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic environment.
- Excellent IT skills – Office suite and TMS/Database.
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Keen interest in workplace wellbeing.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn.
