Field Area Sales Manager - Connacht - Permanent
As the Area Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales performance and managing our dedicated team of professional drivers. You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with both new and existing customers while leading your team to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain long-term, profitable relationships with new and existing clients, providing exceptional account management and customer service.
Continuously meet sales and credit targets by identifying new business opportunities within the region and effectively closing deals.
Engage clients through a consultative sales approach, presenting products and services that address client needs and overcoming objections to showcase our products' value.
Monitor competitive products, industry trends, and account feedback to provide strategic insights that shape market positioning and product offerings.
Identify and recommend new products or modifications based on customer needs and product performance.
Manage day-to-day pricing to ensure a competitive edge and profitable growth, collaborating with local Commercial Managers to strengthen sales efforts across the region.
Stay updated on industry trends and sales techniques by participating in professional development opportunities.
Coordinate with Sales, Credit, Finance, and HR departments for support and ensure seamless customer service.
Represent the company at promotional events, such as agricultural shows, to network and reinforce the brand’s presence.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in field sales; oil distribution experience is a distinctive advantage.
Sales Skills: Proven sales ability with skills in sales planning, prospecting, and closing.
Initiative & Drive: Self-motivated and goal-oriented, possessing the ability to meet and exceed targets with minimal supervision.
Networking: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain a network of key contacts.
Time Management: Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple accounts and deadlines efficiently.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Technical Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for reporting and presentations.
Market Focus: Results-driven with a strategic focus on industry competitiveness and customer satisfaction
