We are delighted to be working exclusively with a well-established and highly respected fire protection, safety, and security systems specialist, operating since 1984. This family-run business, based in Dublin, has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term client partnerships, delivering life safety and security solutions to commercial and institutional clients across Ireland and the EU.Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Service & Commissioning Engineer with a background in fire alarms, life safety systems, and emergency lighting.

The Role

As part of the technical team, you will play a key role in the commissioning, servicing, and handover of high-quality life safety and security systems. You will work across a varied client base, ensuring systems are fully compliant, reliable, and performing to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission and service fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, and nurse call systems
  • Test systems, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs where required
  • Ensure all systems meet regulatory, safety, and operational compliance standards
  • Complete test records, certification, and technical documentation accurately
  • Work closely with project managers, installation teams, and fellow service engineers
  • Support system handovers and provide clear technical guidance to clients
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers
  • Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota (1 in 4 weeks)

What we are Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Service & Commissioning role within fire, life safety, or security systems
  • Strong electrical background with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification
  • Hands-on experience with fire alarm systems (experience with CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, or nurse call systems is an advantage)
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of IS3218 and relevant industry standards
  • Professional, customer-focused communication style
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Competent with IT systems and electronic documentation
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Willingness to undertake further training as required
