We’re seeking a Commercial & Technical Manager to join our client well established and reputable family owned business based in Meath, to drive growth, lead tendering activity, and support the delivery of high-quality civil engineering projects across Ireland.
You will lead both the commercial development and technical direction of the business – identifying new opportunities, managing bids and tenders, and ensuring projects meet performance, quality, and safety targets. Acting as a key client contact, you’ll provide expert advice on asphalt materials, surfacing techniques, and sustainable pavement solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business and manage tenders for civil projects
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with clients and partners
- Provide technical expertise to all stakeholders
- Support project teams with problem-solving and innovation
- Build strong relationships with public and private sector clients nationwide
- Oversee project performance and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- 7+ years’ experience in road surfacing, bituminous works, or pavement construction
- Strong technical knowledge of asphalt materials and paving operations
- Proven ability to manage both technical and commercial aspects of projects
- Excellent communicator with strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
