Civils Site Supervisor

Our client is seeking a Civils Site Supervisor to join its Power division, working on ESB substation and framework projects across Southern Ireland. This position is appointed at the Civil Lead 1 level, with a clearly defined pathway to Civil Lead 2. You will be part of an experienced project delivery team and play a key role in the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of civil works on live power projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all civil activities from mobilisation through to project close-out
  • Lead site crews, allocate daily tasks, and monitor productivity and progress
  • Enforce all safety standards, ensuring full compliance with site rules, PPE, and regulations
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
  • Liaise with site engineers, foremen, and other supervisors to coordinate activities and resolve issues
  • Oversee correct use, storage, and maintenance of tools, plant, and materials
  • Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, material usage, and attendance
  • Report on progress, risks, delays, and issues to the site and project management
  • Support onboarding and training of new operatives in site procedures and safety requirements

Requirements

  • Proven hands-on experience in civil construction
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise crews on active construction sites
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Valid Safe Pass
  • Experience working on ESB or utilities projects is an advantage
