Business Development Manager - OEM Partnerships

As Ei Electronics continue to grow their global footprint, they are looking for a Business Development Manager to focus on OEM Partnerships.

About the Role:

As Business Development Manager for OEM Partnerships, you will be lead the development, management, and growth of strategic OEM relationships across key global markets. This role combines commercial leadership with technical collaboration, supporting long-term partnerships that deliver sustainable revenue growth and shared innovation.  

This newly created role will require international travel and periodic regional assignments, with a base out of Shannon, Clare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and develop commercial and operational relationships with key OEM partners, ensuring alignment on forecasts, product roadmaps, and commercial frameworks.

  • Create and deliver multi-year strategic business plans focused on revenue growth, margin improvement, and collaborative product development.

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new OEM partners that align with Ei’s strategic, technical, and volume objectives.

  • Lead complex commercial negotiations, including pricing structures, volume commitments, rebates, and long-term supply agreements.

  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and Quality to ensure successful OEM integration and delivery.

  • Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and technology trends to inform commercial strategy and product planning.

  • Provide regular performance reporting, forecasting, and risk analysis to senior leadership based in Shannon.

Requirements:

  • 5–10 years’ experience in OEM account management, business development, or commercial leadership, preferably within manufacturing, electronics, or building technologies.

  • Proven track record of managing technical-commercial partnerships and negotiating long-term supply or integration agreements.

  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, including experience with P&L ownership and margin management.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to operate effectively at both technical and executive levels.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%) and work directly with global partner teams.
