Business Development Executive

Based in Shannon, Ei Electronics is a world-class manufacturer of fire safety, gas detection, and environmental monitoring products. With a strong global reputation for innovation and quality, the company operates across international markets. As Ei Electronics continue to grow their global footprint, they are looking for a Business Development Executive to help expand their connected home and HomeLINK solutions across domestic and international markets.

About the Role:

As Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in driving awareness, adoption, and successful deployment of Ei Electronics’ connected home solutions. Working closely with housing providers, property managers, resellers, and channel partners, you will support the full customer lifecycle—from initial engagement through onboarding and ongoing success.

This newly created role will require international travel and periodic regional assignments, with a base out of Shannon, Clare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify new opportunities for the HomeLINK platform across housing associations, local authorities, residential developers, and partner channels.
  • Lead outbound business development activities, including email campaigns, calls, and industry networking.
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations addressing customer priorities such as compliance, ESG objectives, and resident wellbeing.
  • Prepare proposals, respond to tenders, and develop case studies that articulate customer value and return on investment.
  • Onboard new customers, build long-term relationships, and proactively identify retention opportunities.
  • Capture and document customer feedback on usability, features, and device performance.
  • Share insights with products and engineering teams to influence future platform and device development.

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development, or technical account management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow accounts in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organised, with experience using CRM systems such as Dynamics, Salesforce, or similar.
  • A genuine interest in connected technologies, sustainability, and the future of housing.
  • Experience in PropTech or smart building solutions is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Irish social housing, ESG frameworks, or regulatory compliance is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
