What is VERTIGENIUS
Vertigenius is a breakthrough in how the treatment of vertigo, imbalance and related fall risk is managed. It takes treatment out of the dark ages of printed handouts and manual in-person monitoring and replaces it with a wearable sensor, a patient app and a clinician’s web portal.
A web portal allows clinicians to assess patients, prescribe treatments and monitor patient progress digitally. Clinicians love that all of a patient’s data is at their fingertips with dashboards to track progress and with the ability to drag and drop proven treatment programs in seconds. Patients receive their treatment programs on a smartphone app. The app allows them to easily perform treatment exercises, to track their progress, and to stay in touch with their clinician. The fact that patients can be monitored and treated remotely increases access to care and delivers a more positive patient experience.
At the heart of Vertigenius’ solution is a sensor that looks like a conventional hearing aid worn by the patient during their exercise sessions. The sensor measures head movement and gives patients real time feedback on if they are doing exercises properly as well as giving key data back to the clinician to better guide the patient.
Overall, Vertigenius dramatically improves the ease and speed with which clinicians treat patients, increasing clinic productivity and reducing waiting lists. Patients find the solution much easier to use, consistently see improved health in line with the gold standard of care and for the first time can get monitored treatment in their home. This is a breakthrough solution improving life for both patients and clinicians in the care of vertigo, imbalance and fall risk.
