Job Title: Registered Architect

Location: Ireland (Remote with Site Visits)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Architect to join our client, one of Ireland’s most respected and people-focused building consultancies.

This role will be a part of our clients' Assigned Certifier Team, offering the chance to influence major construction projects across Ireland, contribute to future industry standards, and help shape a more sustainable built environment. You will enjoy a high level of autonomy, flexible remote working, and collaboration with a highly skilled and supportive team.


Role Overview

The Assigned Certifier will be responsible for providing professional oversight across a range of construction projects, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and statutory requirements. Working closely with clients, design teams, and contractors, you will play a key role in technical governance, inspections, and project delivery from design through to completion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Determining and defining project scope, deliverables, and certification requirements
  • Preparing tenders and proposals, providing both commercial and technical input
  • Providing technical design oversight throughout the project lifecycle
  • Supervising contractors and carrying out regular on-site inspections
  • Conducting inspections in accordance with Building Regulations and building control systems
  • Applying strong problem-solving skills to resolve design and construction challenges
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while upholding service excellence
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to team members
  • Supporting continuous improvement and best practice within the Assigned Certifier function.

Key Requirements

  • Undergraduate/Postgraduate Degree qualification in Architecture
  • Registered architect with the RIAI (the UK’s ARB is also applicable)
  • Significant experience within a construction or consultancy environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of Building Regulations, construction detailing, and project management
  • Ability to read, interpret, and manage construction drawings and documentation
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive and professional approach with a strong desire for continuous learning and development
