They are now recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team at their Head Office in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. Responsibilities:
General:
- Analyse sub-contract agreements with main contractors
- Carry out commercial duties including budgeting, measurement, procurement, and drafting sub-contract agreements
- Prepare commercial reports for internal and external review
- Demonstrate strong understanding of various construction contract types
- Contribute positively and proactively to the team
Data management:
- Maintain comprehensive project records
- Prepare and present accurate budgets
- Produce detailed commercial reports for all project aspects
- Deliver all internal and external reporting on time
Contract management:
- Advise the project team on contractual matters and administer sub-contract agreements
- Carry out monthly interim valuations for main contractors
- Identify risks and opportunities within sub-contracts
- Manage contractual matters with the supply chain
- Understand bonds, guarantees, warranties, and insurance requirements
- Working knowledge of the Construction Contracts Act 2013
Construction Technology:
- Interpret 3D models, complex drawings, and specifications
- Analyse costs, compare to budgets, and report promptly
- Demonstrate strong understanding of construction technologies
Requirements:
- An accredited course by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Chartered Institution of Engineers (IEI)
- Excellent communication skills.
- Analytical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise and plan effectively within a strict deadline environment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience operating in a similar role.
- Excellent computer literacy.
