Quality Label Technician

We are proudly partnering exclusively with Arrotek Medical, a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation serving the European and US medical device market. Based in Sligo, Arrotek offers an exciting opportunity for a Quality Label Technician to play a hands-on role in supporting the smooth, compliant operation of their advanced facilities.


Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and print product labels according to production schedules and customer specifications.
  • Review label content to ensure accuracy, legibility, and compliance with industry and regulatory standards
  • Verify product codes, batch numbers, expiration dates, and other critical data.
  • Generate and Maintain Artwork files as per customer specification.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate labelling.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve labelling issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain inventory of label stock and printing supplies.
  • Perform routine set ups/ maintenance ribbon/label changes etc and cleaning of labelling equipment.
  • Document all label accountability (print, discarded, reconciled)
  • Operate all label equipment (e.g. printers, barcode scanners).
  • Support, review and approve label change controls.
  • Perform an active role in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the QMS.
  • Support quality engineers with non-conformance & customer complaints label related (root cause analysis, disposition, and corrective action).
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Other such duties as may be assigned from time to time by their Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements:  

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA regulations 21CFR 820.
  • Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work on one’s own initiative and with minimum supervision is required, and ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate appropriately with different departments, suppliers and customers.
  • Self-motivated, flexible with a desire to learn new tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong numerical and problem-solving ability, while maintaining awareness of longer-term objectives.
  • Excellent MS Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
  • High level of teamwork and engagement.
