Our client, an electrical contracting and consultancy company is seeking to recruit a Project Manager to join their EV Business Unit.

Location: Work from home with travel to project sites. Nationwide travel for the first 6 months to build client relationships. After 6 months, travel will be more sporadic with the majority of time working from home or office depending on location.

The role:

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Project Manager for our client's EV Business Unit will be responsible for leading projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.

  • Communicate with the client to arrange and complete any pre-construction site surveys in order to agree the scope of works and assess any possible issues.
  • Create a detailed project plan outlining the schedule, resources, budget, and timeline.
  • Ensure the project adheres to relevant laws, regulations, environmental, health, safety and industry standards.
  • Identify, monitor and control any potential risks throughout the project.
  • Recognise changes from original scope and communicate to client and project QS.
  • Approve expenditures and adjust when necessary.
  • Continuously monitor and review the pipeline of work and ensure adequate resources are available to meet targets, modify schedules in response to changes or unforeseen delays.  
  • Manage a high performing team through the employee lifecycle ensuring all goals and objectives are met. 
  • Ensure all Project Management systems (e.g. proworks and dashboard) are up to date with various jobs and updates. 
  • Present monthly defined KPI’s to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables are completed, approved, and handed over to the client or relevant parties.
  • Assist with the compilation of the O&M Manual upon Project Completion, including the provision of Electrical Test Certificates, Completed Project Photos and signed Project Client Handover checklist and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Level 8 Degree in Electrical / Project Management or Energy/ Mechanical.  
  • PMP, PSCS, and electrical certifications highly desirable.
  • Level 6 Craft Electrical Certificate desirable
  • 5+ years in electrical engineering, project management experience in electrical projects in the construction industry.
