Production Operator | Sligo

New

Our client, a leading medical design and manufacturing company are hiring Production Operators to join their team in Sligo. This role is an initial 6-month contract but has the potential to lead to a permanent role. We are hiring for Weekday Day Shift and Weekday Evening Shift.

Responsibilities of a Production Operator (Full job description available on request):

  • Manufacture of product in strict compliance with procedures and batch manufacturing records according to a production schedule.
  • Work with other team members to maintain current production including manufacturing of sub-assembly parts, assembly and packaging of the product.
  • Maintain accurate and timely testing manner, recording of test results related to quality, work in progress and special requirements.
  • Work with engineers and technicians to resolve process issues and suggest improvements on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist with training of other employees.
  • Will require to operate automatic, semi-automatic and moulding machinery.
  • Maintain clean room integrity by adherence to clean room environment practices and procedures.

Ideal background:

  • Leaving Cert and/or minimum 2-year Medical Device manufacturing/production experience required.
  • Working knowledge of the GMP practices and manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Must be a highly motivated with ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
  • Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
  • Must have a high level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to work with small plastic and metal components in manufacturing setting.
  • Use of precision hand tools.
  • Understand general principles of EN ISO 13485 & FDA 21 CFR 820 would be advantage.
