Production Operator (Liquids + Chemicals)

We have partnered with one of Ireland’s leading chemical manufacturers, Biocel, as they grow their team in Little Island, Cork. This Production Operator role is a permanent day role (07:30 am - 04:00 pm) located a 10-minute walk from the train station. Previous experience in working with chemicals/ingredients/liquids is preferred.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • The Production Operator will comply with company quality policies and procedures.
  • The Production Operator will follow manufacturing work instructions.
  • The Production Operator will follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment and follow production schedules.
  • Operating and maintaining processing equipment to ensure the efficient production of high-quality food-grade chemicals. Set up, operate, and adjust processing equipment according to the production schedule and product specifications.
  • Manufacture finished products for quality, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
  • Following standardised production instructions on the manufacturing of products, i.e., preparing ingredients for processing, blending of ingredients, filling and packing, etc., and ensuring consistent product quality.
  • Ensure correct handling and storage of product at all times.
  • Perform regular cleaning and sanitising of equipment and work areas and maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of production quantities, ingredients used, and any issues encountered during processing, as well as any daily logs and reports as required by the Production Supervisor.
  • Identify and report any deviations from quality standards to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Hard working.
  • Able to follow written instructions.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Previous experience in food processing or a similar role in the food industry is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the food industry is an advantage, as well as any Food Safety training and Good Hygiene practices.
  • Forklift Licence desirable.
