Operations Manager

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our client, a leading manufacturer and installer of windows and doors. The Operations Manager will lead all day-to-day field operations and be based between head office in Ovens and customer sites around Cork. This is a full-time, permanent role based on a Monday - Friday work week. In this role you will be the vital link between the sales team, production facility, and installation crews, ensuring every project is delivered with the precision and professionalism that customers expect. This is a "hands-on" leadership role requiring a presence on both the production floor and active installation sites.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and supervise multiple installation crews, ensuring all fitters maintain high standards.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage the daily schedule of domestic and commercial installations, coordinating logistics to ensure 100% on-time delivery.
  • Quality & Compliance: Conduct site inspections to guarantee installations meet building codes and health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain: Oversee stock accuracy and coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure materials are ready for every job.
  • Client Liaison: Act as a senior point of contact for homeowners and site managers, resolving any technical or logistical issues on-site.

 Role Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years in a management or supervisory role within the window, door, and/or construction industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of uPVC, aluminium, and glazing systems. Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar technical software is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Outstanding organisational abilities and a "tough but fair" approach to team management.
  • Logistics: Strong understanding of transport functions and site-based project management.
  • Physicality: This role involves active site visits and may require heavy lifting or manual support during peak times.
