This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Micro Lab Supervisor to join our client, a leading Life Science company based in their new manufacturing facility in Kilkenny. This position is on a fixed term 12 months contract.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide support for product and manufacturing operations within a cGMP-regulated environment.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop team members to ensure performance and growth.
- Lead the site’s dosimetry program and ensure it is regularly reviewed and updated.
- Manage all dosimetry lab activities, including coordination with external providers and suppliers.
- Author documentation for dosimetry methods, equipment qualification, and validation, and offer technical feedback.
- Support lab setup and ongoing maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Oversee and enhance the laboratory training program, ensuring adherence to safety rules and training compliance.
- Review lab results for data accuracy and ensure timely communication of findings.
- Maintain validation and control of the dosimetry lab in compliance with internal policies, regulations, and ISO11137 standards.
- Offer technical expertise in dosimetric release methods, dose mapping, and dose calibration procedures.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts related to dosimetric release and provide technical support as needed.
- Analyze product quality and process data using statistical tools to identify trends and drive improvements; prepare quarterly and annual reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as QA, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Purchasing to ensure timely task completion.
Education And Experience
- Third level Science / Manufacturing or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 4 yrs’ work experience in a Pharma / Med device /Life Science /equivalent environment.
- Electron beam or other sterilisation technologies experience desirable.
- Knowledge in ISO 11137 desirable.
- Chemistry/Microbiology/Dosimetry Lab experience desirable.
