An exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our client, a leading Engineering Consultancy based on the southside of Cork City, on a permanent contract. This company has been located in Cork for over 60 years and is seeking an experienced Engineer with a background in mechanical/civil/construction engineering to join their consultancy. This role will be based on a Mon-Fri week over 39 hours.
Role Responsibilities:
Design Leadership: Lead and review design work of junior engineers.
Specification Compilation: Develop specifications for mechanical services and installations.
Coordination: Ensure full alignment between specifications and drawings.
Project Management: Handle estimating, cost control, and project reporting.
Planning: Conduct conceptual design studies and prepare reports.
Mentorship: Train and support the professional development of junior and intermediate engineers.
Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting in a client-facing role.
Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to define electrical design constraints and coordinate with other disciplines.
Best Practices: Implement and enhance best-practice engineering expertise within the company, while mentoring Graduate Engineers and Technicians.
Role Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
Open to all levels of experience due to variety of ongoing projects.
