Our client, a leading timber processor in Ireland and the UK, is looking to add a Maintenance & Purchasing Coordinator to their team. This is a full-time, permanent position and will be based fully onsite in Fermoy, Cork. The Maintenance Stores & Purchasing Coordinator will report to the Maintenance Manager and will support the team of fitters and the wider company with purchasing.
Responsibilities:
- Procure mechanical, electrical, and consumable goods.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate on prices and manage ordering and timely delivery of stock.
- Create and process purchase orders on the PEMAC system.
- Liaise with maintenance and production teams in ordering of goods.
- Monitor delivery of goods, ensuring documentation is checked against original order placed and any discrepancies are actioned.
- Maintain effective administration of the system for storing and accessing information of inventory.
- Carry out general stores upkeep and perform stock checks via the PEMAC system.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with all plant staff, senior management and suppliers.
- Previous experience in a purchasing/procurement role.
- Background in maintenance or production is desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel.
- High level of problem-solving skills and technical awareness.
- Self-motivated and excellent organizational skills.
