The Job:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Label Coordinator to join a leading chemical manufacturer in Dublin to oversee the management and maintenance of label artwork and associated files. This role ensures labels are accurate, compliant, and readily available to meet production and customer demands. You’ll collaborate across departments—supply chain, commercial, production, and customer service—while maintaining meticulous records and updating artwork as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and verify label updates for accuracy and consistency.
- Place labels on hold when necessary and check stock levels.
- Retire and archive obsolete label files in accordance with internal protocols.
- Maintain Excel-based tracking tools for label progress.
- Update label status and milestones in the QAD ERP system.
- Track label development and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Support customers in designing and developing label artwork.
- Review customer-supplied artwork and printer proofs for compliance.
- Provide timely updates to the supply chain team regarding label readiness and timelines.
- Design and modify label artwork using Adobe InDesign.
- Edit PDF files and prepare print-ready versions.
- Convert legacy QuarkXPress (QXP) files to InDesign format.
- Generate PDFs for both print and digital use.
- Draft and maintain internal procedures for label creation, file handling, and artwork verification.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat for PDF editing.
- Experience with QuarkXPress and file conversion workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP systems (preferably QAD).
- Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in graphic design, artwork creation, or label coordination is preferred.
- Background in manufacturing or packaging environments is advantageous.
- Understanding of label compliance and printing standards is a plus.
