Our client, a trusted engineering partner based in Cork, is seeking an HR Generalist to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across the full spectrum of HR activities while supporting a diverse and collaborative workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support employee development by coordinating training programmes and identifying learning needs with managers.
- Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
- Help administer reward, bonus, and incentive schemes, and support compensation benchmarking to ensure competitive pay practices.
- Stay up to date with employment legislation and assist with maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures.
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns, helping to resolve issues and promote positive communication across the organisation.
- Gather and analyse HR data to produce insights, reports, and dashboards on key people metrics.
- Contribute to engagement and retention initiatives, support leadership development, and help identify high-potential employees for future growth.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition to support hiring and organisational growth.
- Manage end-to-end onboarding, ensuring a smooth and organised transition for new starters.
- Coordinate offboarding activities, including exit interviews and final documentation, to support a positive and compliant exit process.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR role.
- Experience in the construction, engineering or manufacturing industries is an advantage.
- A solid understanding of HR processes and employment lifecycle activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive mindset and desire to continuously improve processes.
