A well-established manufacturing and production-led business based in North Dublin is seeking a hands-on Head of Finance to lead the finance function and support operational performance across the business.
Why this role: Finance plays a central role in the organisation, working closely with leadership and operational teams to drive performance in a fast-paced production environment.
This is a senior leadership role but very much embedded in the day-to-day running of the business, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with operations rather than sitting purely in corporate finance.
The position may suit a Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Finance Director operating as number two in a larger organisation who is looking to take on broader leadership responsibility.
The business operates in a production and project-driven environment, making it particularly suitable for candidates coming from manufacturing, FMCG, construction, engineering, or other operational industries.
Location: North Dublin (Fully Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the finance function and manage a small finance team
- Oversee management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Maintain strong financial controls, governance and audit processes
- Partner closely with operational teams to improve cost control and margins
- Monitor cash flow, working capital and overall business performance
- Provide financial insight to support commercial and operational decision-making
- Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting and processes
Experience and Key Attributes:
- 5+ years’ finance experience with leadership responsibility.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, construction, engineering, or other operational environments.
- Background working in production-led or project-based businesses is highly beneficial.
- Hands-on and practical approach.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
- Comfortable working closely with operational teams.
- Ability to drive improvements while maintaining strong financial discipline.
