Finance Manager

We are delighted to partner with a well-known and highly respected indigenous Irish food manufacturing organisation to recruit a Finance Manager for their growing operation in West Waterford. This is a superb opportunity for a Senior Accountant ready to step into a leadership role within a commercially focused, fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll work closely with a highly experienced Finance Director and play a key role in driving financial performance, systems improvements, and operational efficiency across the business.


The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead a finance team of four and take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations while supporting strategic decision-making at senior level. A strong focus of this role will be on process improvement, automation, and system optimisation, helping modernise and streamline finance operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team (4 direct reports)
  • Oversee monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement of finance systems and processes
  • Partner with operations and commercial teams to support business performance
  • Manage audits, statutory accounts and compliance requirements
  • Act as finance lead and internal POC for outsourced IT providers
  • Support strategic projects and senior leadership initiatives
  • Act as the internal point of contact for outsourced IT

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with 5+ years PQE
  • Currently operating at Senior Accountant / Finance Manager level
  • Proven people management experience
  • Background in manufacturing, FMCG, or similar operational environments advantageous
  • Strong systems, process improvement and automation mindset
  • Commercially astute with strong stakeholder engagement skills
