Financial Analyst

Our client, a leading multinational manufacturing organisation, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to gain broad exposure across Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Manufacturing & Operations Finance, while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering insightful financial analysis, supporting strategic planning and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Permanent role with flexible/hybrid working options.


Key Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst:

  • Support key financial cycles including Strategic Planning, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasting.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting for operational costs and analyse financial performance against plan.
  • Prepare and report on key KPIs, providing clear variance analysis and actionable insights.
  • Act as a finance business partner to Plant Leadership, Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams.
  • Monitor product margins and support pricing strategies.
  • Provide financial analysis and justification for capital expenditure (CAPEX) proposals.
  • Support standard costing processes, inventory controls and month-end/year-end close activities.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation and system enhancements.
  • Provide financial insight and accountability support for site-based improvement projects.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Third-level qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CPA).
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a finance role, ideally within a manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of US GAAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and wider MS Office suite; experience with BI tools an advantage.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Proactive, detail-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
