A great opportunity is open for an experienced Electrician to become part of a water treatment facility in Mallow, Cork. The ideal person for the role would be qualified with 3 – 5 years of experience.
Role Requirements
- Liaising with Area Supervisors and Managers on electrical solutions and site implementation
- The role will primarily focus on both preventative and reactive tasks within the water and wastewater industry
- Completion of daily reports and health and safety documentation as required for day-to-day work on site
- Calibration and servicing of on-site instrumentation monitoring equipment (such as pH, dissolved oxygen probes, etc.)
- Motor and instrumentation signal verification to motor control centres and PLC, including control function verification
- Ability to follow control panel schematics and troubleshoot control panel faults
- Installing, wiring, commissioning, and setting up configurations for a full range of variable speed drives, DOL, star delta starters, etc.
Skills / Attributes;
- Demonstrate proficiency in fault finding.
- Practical experience with pumps, motors, dosing equipment (including pumps and controllers), control panels, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of PLCs and basic automation (in-depth programming not required).
- Ensure detailed daily reports and health & safety documentation are maintained according to site requirements.
