Business Development Manager

Our client, a leading Irish-owned provider of workplace catering solutions, is seeking a commercially astute and relationship-driven Business Development Manager to join their leadership team.

With over three decades of experience, the company has built a strong reputation for excellence in food quality, friendly staff, and exceptional local management support. Partnering with clients across engineering, aviation, transport, logistics, tech, pharma, and healthcare sectors, they are now looking to expand their footprint further across Ireland.

This role is mainly field based & work from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive lead generation and client outreach through digital and traditional sales and marketing channels.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship development to proposal creation, negotiations, and contract closure.
  • Act as the primary contact for new accounts, ensuring a smooth transition and close collaboration with operations to deliver outstanding service.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activity, and emerging innovations in corporate catering.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs, including new accounts, revenue targets, and pipeline conversion.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop segmented campaigns, case studies, and messaging that highlight the company’s USPs and tailored catering solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date competitor intelligence to inform strategy and strengthen positioning.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years’ B2B sales experience, ideally within workplace catering, hospitality, or a related sector.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prospect, negotiate, and close independently.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to craft compelling, tailored proposals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) desirable.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Dublin and nationwide as required.
  • Flexibility to support occasional events such as client launches, tastings, and corporate functions.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous success in selling corporate hospitality or workplace catering solutions.
  • Understanding of food and beverage operations and business finances.
  • Experience engaging with and presenting to senior stakeholders.
