Accounts Assistant

Our client, a leading supplier of luxury mini coaches in Ireland, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join them on a permanent contract. Full training will be provided.

The successful candidate will report directly to the financial controller and will initially focus on Accounts Payable, processing supplier invoices and payments, preparing draft reports for review, including VAT Return workings, Intrastat and VIES Returns.

This Accounts Assistant role is based onsite in Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath.


Key duties of Accounts Assistant:

  • Managing the Accounts Payable function within the Company’s ERP system
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of AP invoices on the company’s ERP system.
  • Matching of invoices to goods received and PO's and ensuring all necessary approvals are in place.
  • Reconcile Supplier statements to the Company’s ERP System and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner escalating issues where necessary.
  • Follow up on queries/approvals and resolve any invoice or payment issues.

Ideal experience of Accounts Assistant:

  • Prior experience working in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with ERP Systems / accounting software is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent MS Office proficiency
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong numerical skills & communication skills
