Our client is currently looking for someone to manage the day-to-day operation of the engineering storeroom, ensuring effective material control, accurate inventory management, and a safe, audit-ready environment that supports site engineering and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the engineering storeroom in line with site policies, procedures, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Apply current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in all activities.
- Complete required site training and maintain up-to-date operational knowledge.
- Receive, process, and record deliveries through the customer ERP system in accordance with storeroom SOPs.
- Distribute materials to designated site locations and notify relevant stakeholders.
- Pick, issue, and support material requests for maintenance work orders; assist with material location queries.
- Maintain accurate logbooks (e.g. key control, high-value items).
- Perform daily cycle counts and report discrepancies to the site manager.
- Maintain storeroom housekeeping, safety, and audit readiness at all times.
- Manage VMI stock counts, identify potential stock-outs and slow-moving items, and complete scheduled cabinet stock checks.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
- Manual handling equipment experience/training.
- Experience with ERP systems (desirable).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with good numeracy.
- Knowledge of warehousing systems and inventory control.
- Conscientious, reliable, and detail-focused with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
