Stores Administrator

We are working with a well-established company in the manufacturing industry based in Castletownbere, Cork. They are currently looking for an experienced Stores Administrator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position would suit someone coming from a warehouse, production, or trades background.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing & Receipt of Goods

  • Manage purchase requisitions, goods receipt/dispatch, and ensure quality checks with accurate system updates.
  • Load and unload goods delivered to and dispatched from the depot.
  • Ensure materials are stored correctly in their designated area.

Stock Control

  • Provide support in the development of company-wide minimum stock levels and reorder quantities.
  • Complete stock takes in line with company policy, providing explanations for any discrepancies that arise.
  • Create and accept internal stock transfer requests to and from other company stock locations.
  • Report the issuance of materials to the production floor and complete the job costing process to consume materials into the jobs within the intact IQ system.

Sales

  • Manage the order-to-cash process in the depot, including the sales desk and trade counter.
  • Manage active sales orders and initiate the setup of new or changes to existing customer accounts.
  • Assist customers with any queries they may have.

Cash Reconciliation & Banking

  • Complete the daily cash reconciliation process in the depot and lodge all monies received to the bank promptly.

Requirements:

  • Background in warehousing/production/trades is desirable.
  • Self-starter who works well on their own initiative.
  • Computer-literate with knowledge of stock systems.
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • A forklift license is desirable.
  • Methodical and organised.
  • A flexible approach to working arrangements.
