Senior Accountant

Location: Little Island, Cork (Onsite, 5 days per week)

Salary: €65,000 – €70,000

What You'll Do

As the Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for ensuring robust financial operations and supporting the business with accurate reporting and actionable insights. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports for internal stakeholders.
  2. Managing month-end close, including inventory accounting, accruals, and reconciliations.
  3. Monitoring daily cash flow and managing currency hedging processes.
  4. Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  5. Ensuring compliance with tax and statutory obligations (VAT, PAYE, RTD, Intrastat).
  6. Collaborating closely with department heads to provide financial insight into operational performance.
  7. Managing internal controls and ensuring finance processes are efficient and audit-ready.
  8. Supervising and supporting one finance team member, providing mentorship and oversight.

What You’ll Bring

  1. Qualification: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  2. Experience: 3+ years’ experience in a finance role with exposure to operational and management accounting. Retail or FMCG experience is an advantage.
  3. Systems: Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (experience with Sage is a plus).
  4. Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
