I am currently partnering with a leading medical device company that is expanding its operations and seeking an experienced Production Unit Manager to join their team. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a growing organisation.
The Role:
The Production Unit Manager will play a critical role in daily operations, collaborating closely with Production Supervisors and their teams to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), drive output, and provide strategic leadership across the business.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Production Unit.
Champion Lean initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, while minimizing waste and improving process and labor efficiencies.
Manage staffing levels, resource planning, and scheduling to ensure smooth operations.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to identify and resolve technical challenges.
Establish clear goals and accountability for direct reports, encouraging professional development and continuous learning.
Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Encourage a supportive environment that embraces calculated risk-taking and milestone achievement.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, GMP, and quality requirements.
Drive functional excellence and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Utilise in-depth knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes to ensure best practices are followed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in an operations or manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in the medical device sector is essential.
Proven track record in a similar leadership role such as Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, or Production Supervisor.
