Our client, a global healthcare leader is keen to hire a Process Technician to join their team in Cavan on an initial 6month contract. Shift Pattern: Mixed 6 Week shift cycle pattern – This role will include days, nights and weekends.
Responsibilities of a Process Technician (Full job description available on request):
- Conduct analytical testing across a range of techniques (including but not limited to HPLC and ICP to support raw material analysis, in-process testing and finished product testing.
- Develop, evaluate and verify analytical test methods across a range of techniques (including HPLC and ICP) as required.
- Contribute to and/or lead troubleshooting and investigation of analytical issues using quality tools and site CAPA process.
- Provide analytical support in the technical transfer of analytical methods into the Analytical Laboratory.
- Support and/or co-ordinate equipment installation and validation activities as required by project demands.
- Contribute to the Analytical Laboratory continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideal background:
- A BSc in analytical chemistry or equivalent scientific discipline (with significant analytical focus) combined with 2 years’ experience within an analytical role; or BSc in a degree with significant analytical focus plus 2+ years’ experience within an analytical role.
- Practical experience in a range of analytical techniques including but not limited to HPLC and ICP.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of analytical principles and procedures, method development, method validation and method transfers.
- Strong understanding of compliance and quality standards.
- Proven ability to plan and work independently. Candidate most be able to work under a high-pressured production environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Interacts constructively with employees, managers and cross-functional peers.
