As Principal Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence, leading process improvements, and supporting the integration of new products and technologies into manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support manufacturing operations to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Manage, mentor, and develop team members, including performance reviews and training.
- Drive compliance with industry regulations and internal quality systems.
- Develop and execute staffing, resource, and budget plans for the department.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, quality, and external stakeholders.
- Provide leadership in validation activities, including protocol/report writing and execution oversight.
- Monitor and analyse production metrics, implementing improvements where needed.
- Contribute to policy and procedure development within the manufacturing function.
Requirements:
- Level 7 qualification (or higher) in Engineering or related discipline.
- 6+ years’ relevant experience in manufacturing or process engineering within a regulated industry.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams or projects.
- Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO, BSI) and quality systems.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision while delivering on departmental goals.
