Excellent opportunity for a PhD Graduate or experienced Scientist to join a Medical Devices Leader in Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a PhD or have submitted their thesis for a PhD and have experience with ELISA's, Western Blotting or Laboratory Diagnostics. The key requirements is to be a critical thinker and apply this knowledge in the development of new medical device products for the lab.
Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request):
- Project Management: Manage product and process improvements independently.
- Improvements: Monitor processes, address trends, and implement solutions.
- Risk Management: Maintain and evaluate risk management files.
- Investigations: Lead investigations, resolve issues, and support audits.
- Technical Support: Design experiments, analyse data, and recommend actions.
- Knowledge Sharing: Present findings and mentor team members.
- Results Focus: Ensure product availability and drive cost-effective improvements.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:
- Relevant third-level qualification in a scientific/technical field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ related experience or advanced degree preferred (PhD).
- Works independently as an individual contributor.
- Requires specialised knowledge of product/process design, standardisation, and control methods.
- Skilled in experimental, statistical, and project management tools.
- Resolves varied but recurring issues.
- Innovative thinker guided by established practices.
