Optimization Sales Engineer
An exciting opportunity for a Optimization Sales Engineer to join a leading multinational provider of compressed air and energy-efficient solutions. Based in Leinster, this role involves working directly with industrial customers to optimise system performance, reduce energy consumption, and deliver sustainable, high-impact solutions. The position is ideal for someone with a technical sales mindset who enjoys being customer-facing, hands-on, and solution-driven.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver and promote AIRScan services, including compressed air leak detection, analysis, and repair recommendations.
- Carry out air quality testing and champion Energy Recovery and sustainability-focused product solutions.
- Identify new opportunities, develop strong customer relationships, and understand customer operational needs.
- Manage contractors for installations, site works, and system measurements, including power and flow analysis.
- Sell and support AIRnet pipe systems, Smart AIRnet, central control products, and energy optimisation solutions.
- Conduct detailed site surveys and system performance assessments, including energy usage, pressure drops, flow calculations, and system efficiency evaluations.
- Provide hands-on technical advice and support on energy recovery units, central controllers, air quality testing, and system optimisation.
- Work closely with internal sales and engineering teams to prepare tailored proposals, technical solutions, and customer presentations.
- Support sales activities through demonstrations, exhibitions, negotiations, and technical consultation to achieve performance and revenue targets.
- Stay informed on industry trends, sustainability initiatives, and emerging energy-saving technologies.
- Build long-term customer partnerships and ensure successful installation, commissioning, and handover to the CTS support teams.
Role Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales, ideally within an industrial, technical, or engineering-led environment.
- A technical or engineering background is preferred but not essential; a strong willingness to learn is key.
- Understanding of compressed air systems, energy recovery, air quality testing, or central control technologies (or strong interest in developing expertise in these areas).
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine interest in sustainability and helping customers reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise customer requests and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and a consultative, customer-focused approach.
