A global healthcare leader is seeking to hire an Operations Technician | Microbiology to join their growing team in Longford. This is an initial 12-month contract for the Weekend Day Shift only. Hours: Friday-Sunday 7am-7pm

Responsibilities of an Operations Technician (Full job description available on request):

CAPA/LIR:

  • Initiation, authoring and approval of Laboratory Investigation Reports.
  • Complete CAPA actions assigned.

Communications:

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively within team.

Documentation:

  • Maintain relevant documents and records.
  • Complete archiving tasks for relevant documents and records as appropriate.

Generic Basic Requirements:

  • Provides input into the annual departmental budget, and department GMI Targets.

Manage Product and Process Improvements:

  • Participate in Project and Process improvement activities.
  • Suggests and implement process improvements within own work area that fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that activities are completed within budget e.g. waste levels, per plan requirements.

Requirements:

  • Ideally a third level qualification in a science or similar discipline. Experience in Microbiology preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
