An exciting opportunity for an experienced Moulding Engineer to join our client, a leading multinational manufacturer based in Waterford on a permanent contract. This role will be based on a Mon-Fri week (8am-4.45pm) and requires previous injection moulding experience as well as an engineering degree.
Role Responsibilities:
The Moulding Engineer will develop \ design and implement cost-justified process and equipment improvements with minimal impact to production operating under 24/7 environment.
The Moulding Engineer will support the maintenance and technical activities related to site injection moulding equipment.
The Moulding Engineer will work in alignment with technician group responsible for site injection moulding maintenance.
Identify and eliminate repetitious machine failures.
Provide consultative support to the Manufacturing and Maintenance groups.
Utilise Lean Six Sigma tools and data to drive continuous improvement.
Develop and Implement Safety and Quality improvements.
Prepare design specifications and associated documentation for equipment and system upgrades.
Fault-finding \ troubleshooting of equipment and process issues.
Role Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (polymer/mechanical/electronic) essential.
Ideally 3-5 years in a technical role in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Injection moulding and automation experience essential.
