An exciting opportunity for an experienced Moulding Engineer to join our client, a leading multinational manufacturer based in Waterford on a permanent contract. This role will be based on a Mon-Fri week (8am-4.45pm) and requires previous injection moulding experience as well as an engineering degree.
Role Responsibilities:
- The Moulding Engineer will develop \ design and implement cost-justified process and equipment improvements with minimal impact to production operating under 24/7 environment.
- The Moulding Engineer will support the maintenance and technical activities related to site injection moulding equipment.
- The Moulding Engineer will work in alignment with technician group responsible for site injection moulding maintenance.
- Identify and eliminate repetitious machine failures.
- Provide consultative support to the Manufacturing and Maintenance groups.
- Utilise Lean Six Sigma tools and data to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and Implement Safety and Quality improvements.
- Prepare design specifications and associated documentation for equipment and system upgrades.
- Fault-finding \ troubleshooting of equipment and process issues.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (polymer/mechanical/electronic) essential.
- Ideally 3-5 years in a technical role in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Injection moulding and automation experience essential.
