Our client, a well-established and expanding building services contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing team. Due to continued project wins and sustained growth, this is an excellent opportunity to take full ownership of mechanical services delivery from project initiation through to completion.

Reporting to the Mechanical Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and coordinate the full mechanical project lifecycle including pre-construction, planning, construction, testing, and commissioning
  • Work closely with clients, design teams, main contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure scope and programme requirements are achieved
  • Attend site regularly to monitor quality, safety, progress, and procurement targets
  • Oversee financial performance of projects, ensuring effective cost control and reporting
  • Lead pre-appointment and coordination meetings to confirm scope alignment and stakeholder expectations
  • Review and coordinate design documentation and construction drawings
  • Ensure installations are delivered in accordance with specifications, standards, and change control procedures
  • Promote and maintain a strong health & safety culture across all project activities
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to site teams to ensure compliance with relevant mechanical and building services standards

Requirements:


  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience within a mechanical contracting environment
  • Proven experience delivering projects from start to completion
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage site teams
  • Excellent IT and technical competency
