Great opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join a leading Vaccines company in the Northwest of Ireland. The Maintenance Manager is reporting to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for overseeing equipment, utilities, and facility upkeep—both planned and reactive—ensuring efficient, compliant operations. It involves cross-functional collaboration and ensures adherence to EU GMP, EHS, and company standards.
Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request):
- Lead and manage the maintenance team.
- Schedule maintenance in advance, ensuring vendor work, EHS checks, and POs are in place.
- Coordinate with Production and QC to minimise downtime during maintenance access.
- Use a workload planner to balance tasks across the team.
- Ensure all equipment, utilities, and facilities are maintained on schedule.
- Prioritise and assign work to engineers and contractors to support production.
- Manage Work Orders in eMaint, ensuring timely closure with correct documentation.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Minimum 5 years’ maintenance and people management experience in a GMP pharma/biotech setting.
- Strong knowledge of EU GMP, particularly Annex 1 and Annex 15.
- Proficient in CMMS, ideally eMaint.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Familiar with utilities and cleanroom systems (e.g. HVAC, purified water, steam, compressed gases).
