We are hiring a commercially focused Group Financial Controller to lead the financial operations of our multi-entity, growing organisation in Longford. This is a critical role for a finance professional who brings rigour, leadership, and a strong appetite for change.
Key Responsibilities of Group Financial Controller :
- Lead and manage the financial operations of the group, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective control.
- Consolidate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Drive improvements in ERP usage, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Oversee the external audit process and maintain strong relationships with auditors and advisors.
- Manage cash flow, debt financing, and covenant reporting with a proactive and detail-driven approach.
- Provide strategic financial insight and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure tax compliance and manage external reporting in collaboration with advisors and payroll providers.
- Lead and develop a small finance team, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support compliance with private equity ownership reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders including banks and auditors.
What Group Financial Controller will bring:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in a similar role within a multi-entity or complex organisational structure.
- Strong audit background and experience managing external audit processes.
- Experience in a private equity environment or leveraged business is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a small team.
- Skilled in financial analysis, problem solving, and decision-making.
- Strong communicator with the confidence to work across all levels of the organisation.
- High level of personal drive, initiative, and ability to get things done.
- Strong ERP system experience
