We have a Global Director of Quality position working for a Medical Devices company in the west of Ireland. The role reports to the VP of QA in the US and will oversee multiple sites in Ireland, Europe and Asia. This is a global role and can therefore be based remotely in Ireland. Having multi site experience and a medical devices background is essential.
Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request):
- Lead and manage cross-functional Quality teams across Ireland, Poland, Finland, China, and Thailand
- Strengthen quality to support strategic growth and new business opportunities
- Build and sustain an audit-ready culture, ensuring full regulatory compliance
- Partner with Commercial teams to represent the Quality system with customers
- Drive continuous improvement using data and tools such as Six Sigma
- Track, manage, and improve key performance metrics (KPIs)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:
- Degree in Quality, Engineering, Business, or related technical field
- 10+ years’ experience in Quality roles
- 5+ years’ experience in people management
- Experience across regional or multi-site operations
- Background in Medical Devices or Life Sciences
- Strong knowledge of FDA, MDR, and ISO standards (e.g. ISO 13485, 14971)
- Hands-on experience with quality tools (SPC, DOE, Root Cause Analysis)
- Experience supporting regulatory audits and inspections
