Job Description - Field Service Engineer

We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Clinical Service Support Team. This field-based role primarily covers client sites along the East Coast of Ireland. The successful candidate will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of a range of medical devices. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring reliable performance and exceptional service for healthcare providers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out installation, servicing, and repair of medical equipment on-site.

  • Deliver equipment training and technical guidance to healthcare staff.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.

  • Perform routine calibration and preventative maintenance.

  • Provide technical support to the sales team as required.

  • Maintain clear and timely service documentation and reports.

  • Advise customers on best practices to optimise device performance.

  • Manage tools, spare parts, and consumables for efficient service delivery.

  • Ensure all work aligns with ISO quality and safety standards.

  • Represent the company with professionalism and a strong customer focus.

Job Requirements

  • 3rd level qualification in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.

  • Strong technical problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a dynamic service schedule.

  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on service quality.

  • Full, clean driving licence.
