We have a new opening for an Energy Projects Development Manager with a company that is at the forefront of Ireland and the UK’s renewable energy sector. Established over a decade ago, this company is developing some of the largest industrial-scale biogas projects in the region.
The Role: Energy Projects Development Manager (Dublin)
As Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving the delivery of large-scale biogas projects from conception through to construction. This is a senior role, responsible for navigating planning, permitting, and environmental compliance processes, while working closely with internal teams, external consultants, regulators, and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the planning process to secure consents for large-scale biogas projects.
Managing consultants to deliver EIAR, ecological assessments, and other technical studies.
Preparing planning and environmental applications, including licences and permits.
Engaging with local authorities, regulatory bodies, landowners, and community stakeholders.
Managing pre-construction environmental compliance and discharge of planning conditions.
Assisting in strategic site selection, due diligence, and sector opportunity assessments.
Ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and specifications.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an experienced professional who can combine technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Planning, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualification desirable).
8-10 years’ experience in project management of large-scale developments, ideally in renewable energy.
Proven expertise in EIAR, AA, planning applications, and environmental permitting.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience working with regulators, statutory bodies, and the public.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Dublin-based preferred, but flexible for the right candidate.
