Energy Engineer – Civil Design (Renewables Focus)

We have a new opportunity for an Energy Engineer to join a multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in infrastructure, energy, and environmental services.

With offices across Ireland, this Dublin-based position offers the successful candidate the chance to join an established, dynamic company, expanding their expertise and broadening their professional experience.

You will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of our Energy and Planning division, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of activities within the Energy and Planning sector, including civil design, project management, environmental assessments, and preliminary design for renewable energy developments.

 Role & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver projects in line with agreed timelines, quality standards, and budgets set with the client.
  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation of civil and CAD design documentation, collaborating closely with Project Engineers and Engineering Technicians.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain adherence to internal Quality Assurance and Management Systems.
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the project team to ensure seamless project delivery.

Role Requirements

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil design
  • Candidates from a consultancy background are particularly encouraged to apply.
  • Previous civil design experience on Solar Farms, Wind Farms (onshore or offshore), or a strong interest in transitioning into the renewable energy sector, is highly desirable.
  • We will also consider candidates with civil design and environmental engineering experience at the planning stage of projects.
  • Chartered Engineer status is an advantage.
  • Highly motivated professional with strong energy and drive.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical abilities.
