We are partnering with a client in North Galway to support them as they hire a COO. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director to oversee daily operations, enhance efficiency, and contribute to the company’s strategic direction. This is a leadership position where you’ll play a key role in scaling the business, improving processes, and driving innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and streamline daily production operations.
- Drive operational excellence through best practices and cost control.
- Collaborate on strategic planning and execution.
- Support international expansion opportunities.
- Lead product development initiatives.
- Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation.
- Oversee inventory and production planning.
- Implement systems to support scalability (e.g. CRM tools).
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Monitor and report on KPIs.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in business, operations, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior operations leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage budgets effectively.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Experience in the agriculture or manufacturing sectors is a bonus.
- Willingness to travel nationally as needed.
