Chief Operating Officer

We are partnering with a client in North Galway to support them as they hire a COO. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director to oversee daily operations, enhance efficiency, and contribute to the company’s strategic direction. This is a leadership position where you’ll play a key role in scaling the business, improving processes, and driving innovation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and streamline daily production operations.
  • Drive operational excellence through best practices and cost control.
  • Collaborate on strategic planning and execution.
  • Support international expansion opportunities.
  • Lead product development initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee inventory and production planning.
  • Implement systems to support scalability (e.g. CRM tools).
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in business, operations, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior operations leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage budgets effectively.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience a plus.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Experience in the agriculture or manufacturing sectors is a bonus.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as needed.
