We’re partnering with an innovative client who is redefining their industry, tearing up the old rulebook, and setting new standards. Due to their continued expansion, they are looking for a driven Business Development Manager with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for growth. This will be based at their Caheragh, Cork office and will help to manage and accelerate the expansion.

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the heart of their sales and commercial growth, driving new business, building strong relationships, and delivering on their promise of exceptional service. You will be a strategic thinker, full of ambition, and a desire to be successful.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales through inbound and outbound efforts, with a strong emphasis on outbound as the Caheragh office grows.
  • Prospect and qualify leads via cold calling, email, and other channels, adding them to the sales pipeline.
  • Leverage prospecting tools and software to boost engagement.
  • Build relationships with potential customers in person, identifying and developing new opportunities.
  • Track and meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Identify client needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Play a key role in daily office operations and face-to-face client interactions.

Account Management & Operations

  • Provide excellent front-office service, engaging customers in person and over the phone.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to order processing and truck routing, with strong operational involvement.

Finance & Credit Control

  • Process online payments, cash, and liaise with Finance to ensure accurate payment handling.
  • Oversee debt management, ensuring accounts remain within credit terms — a core responsibility for the sales team.

Requirements:

  • Excellent people skills; confident communicator who can give and receive feedback effectively.
  • Highly organised with strong planning skills, able to think several steps ahead.
  • Flexible, calm under pressure, and quick to act without losing focus.
  • Skilled multitasker, capable of managing multiple projects or drivers simultaneously.
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to improve and scale processes.
  • Results-driven, ambitious, and passionate about personal and company growth.
  • Independent and accountable team player with a strong desire to learn and succeed.
