We are currently seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our clients team on a 9-12 month fixed-term contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our clients organization and ongoing projects.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for employees using our payroll system
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Handle payroll inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
System Changes and Updates:
Assist in implementing changes and updates to the payroll system.
Work closely with the HR and IT departments to ensure seamless integration of system changes.
Provide training and support to team members on new system functionalities.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate employee records in the payroll system.
Handle sensitive payroll data with confidentiality and integrity.
Generate payroll reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance and Reporting:
Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance.
Prepare and submit statutory reports and payments accurately and on time.
Assist with audits and compliance reviews related to payroll processes.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.
Address any payroll discrepancies or issues in a timely and effective manner.
Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Requirements:
Previous experience in payroll processing and administration, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with payroll systems, with a preference for experience with Softworks or similar systems.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Effective communication skills and ability to interact professionally with employees and stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience in system changes and updates is desired.
