Payroll Specialist

We are currently seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our clients team on a 9-12 month fixed-term contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our clients organization and ongoing projects.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for employees using our payroll system

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

  • Handle payroll inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.

System Changes and Updates:

  • Assist in implementing changes and updates to the payroll system.

  • Work closely with the HR and IT departments to ensure seamless integration of system changes.

  • Provide training and support to team members on new system functionalities.

Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate employee records in the payroll system.

  • Handle sensitive payroll data with confidentiality and integrity.

  • Generate payroll reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance.

  • Prepare and submit statutory reports and payments accurately and on time.

  • Assist with audits and compliance reviews related to payroll processes.

Customer Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.

  • Address any payroll discrepancies or issues in a timely and effective manner.

  • Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in payroll processing and administration, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with payroll systems, with a preference for experience with Softworks or similar systems.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact professionally with employees and stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Experience in system changes and updates is desired.
